Bowling for Bears is a 501(c)(3) New Jersey Nonprofit Corporation.  Our mission is to give children in need gifts. 

Bowling for Bears started after Hurricane Katrina, and in 2005 after the first Bowling for Bears event, Bowling for Bears was able to provide every child at the Children’s Hospital of New Orleans with a teddy bear during the holidays. 

In eight years, Bowling for Bears has raised over $100,000 and delivered over 13,000 new teddy bears to children during the holidays.  To view a list of our teddy bear recipients by year, click here.

In 2012 alone, more than 300 members of our community came to the Bowling for Bears which raised approximately $20,000 making it possible to purchase and distribute more than 2,500 Build-A-Bears.

Bowling for Bears will continue to provide children in need with teddy bears to brighten their holidays.  The Ninth Annual Bowling for Bears will continue to benefit children in need.
